The 2000s were the golden age of teen movies. From high school comedies to romantic dramas and Disney Channel hits, these 2000s teen movies launched the careers of many actors who later became huge Hollywood stars. Looking back now, it’s surprising to see how many famous actors actually started in teen movies we all watched growing up. Sometimes it’s actually fun to look back and remember where they began, even if some of them might prefer to forget their early roles.

These movies didn’t just launch careers, they also created friendships and long Hollywood connections. For example, Blake Lively became close with her The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars, and Jonah Hill and Emma Stone became longtime friends after working together in Superbad. The 2000s teen movie era was more influential than many people realize, and many of today’s biggest stars came from those high school hallways, teen parties, and coming-of-age stories.
