When we think of the Victorian era, it’s usually in shades of black and white — stiff portraits, old buildings, and distant-looking faces. But these colorized Victorian photos change that completely. Suddenly, the 1800s don’t feel so far away. You can see the texture of a jacket, the blush in someone’s cheeks, the tiny details that remind you these were real people, living real lives. It’s history, but more alive than you’ve probably ever seen it.
