“It Was a Good Day” was the second single off Ice Cube’s third solo album, The Predator. It’s an absolute classic of Hip-Hop and 90s music in general. RollingStone.com even ranked it 36th in their 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time. The bouncy beat, the in-the-pocket lyrical delivery, and the breezy lyrics make it one of the greatest songs to put on when you’re having a good day, or trying to will one to happen.

One internet sleuth named Donovan Strain wondered if Ice Cube was describing an actual day, and if so, what was the date of that day.
