The treasure hunting community comes out with undeniable wins far more often than you’d imagine. It’s always fun to daydream about what kinds of rare finds could be out and about, hiding in plain sight. It could be something as unexpected as finding a crisp $50 bill on a sidewalk when you needed it most, just as it could be an actual rare coin that ends up being worth far more than you could’ve hoped for. The point is that treasure hunting is one of those hobbies that can end up rewarding you in all kinds of unexpected, favorable ways.

1. A haul from a 1700s New York farmhouse.
