From one of the most famous fantasy book series ever written to some of the biggest film franchises in the world, the movies set in Tolkien’s Middle-earth have been a huge part of many of our childhoods and teenage years. But before bringing these iconic characters to life on screen, these actors went through the same experiences most of us did, including high school.

Even though he’s not the most beloved character, we know that life doesn’t necessarily imitate art. Before playing the manipulative Gríma Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings, Brad Dourif was already known for his intense character roles in film and television. Let’s introduce our beloved Faramir.
