Family vacations in the eighties had a very different rhythm than they do today. Road trips meant paper maps unfolded on the dashboard, packed station wagons, and disposable cameras filled with photos people couldn’t see till days later. Kids spent hours staring out car windows, parents argued over directions, and somehow those chaotic little moments became part of what made the trips memorable in the first place.
